Reforestation Project 2013
Over 300 volunteers braved the elements to plant nearly 200 trees around White Rock Lake.
From the looks of these photographs (and my morning commute down Buckner near the Stone Tables), the team led by the White Rock Lake Conservancy, the White Rock Lake Foundation and the City of Dallas was successful in its pursuit to reforest a perimeter of the lake.
It was a cold, rainy day, but volunteers bundled up and worked hard to plant the trees. Now, we all get to enjoy the fruits of their labor for years to come.
