The White Rock Lake Conservancy Inc. (“WRLC” “we” or “us”) cares about the privacy of its
members, online users, donors, and visitors. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes the
privacy practices of WRLC. By using this website or otherwise communicating with WRLC,
you agree to the terms of this Policy. Please read this Policy carefully before submitting any
information to us.

When you visit our website, send us an email, or otherwise contact us, we may collect personal
information that you voluntarily provide to us. Personal information is information through
which you can be identified such as your name, postal address, email address, and telephone
number. When you make a donation, purchase a membership, or sign-up for a volunteer activity,
we may collect additional personal information including, but not limited to, your membership
number, credit card number, or photo ID.

about you or your activities though which you cannot be personally identified.  Examples of non-
personal information include the type of browser and operating system you are using, the domain
name of your Internet service provider, the pages you visit at our website, how long you visit
each page, and the unique number assigned to your server or Internet connection. We may also
use “cookies” and similar technologies to help us recognize and serve you better.  Cookies are

WRLC and we will save your contact information as part of our permanent records. Please be

example, we may use personal information to inform you of events, send you WRLC
newsletters, request monetary contributions, send you promotional updates, respond to your
requests, process your contributions, or fulfill your online orders. We may use non-personalinformation for a variety of purposes including, but not limited to, statistical or demographic
analysis and improvements in the design and content of our website.  We may merge your
personal information with non-personal information and with other publicly available
information to help us identify your preferences or interests.

parties, including, but not limited to, other charitable organizations and contractors who provide
services to us for marketing and non-marketing purposes.  For example, we may provide your

we believe that our site is being used to commit unlawful acts; if disclosure is required to comply
with applicable laws or regulations; or if disclosure is necessary to protect your safety or

protect your personal information and restrict the use of your personal information to the
purposes for which it was provided to them. WRLC does not rent or sell any personal

may also follow the unsubscribe instruction included in our email messages.

If you do not want us to share your personal information with other charitable organizations or
third parties for marketing purposes, you may opt-out of such sharing by emailing

You may review, correct, update, or change your information, including personally identifiable

Personal information that is collected online is stored on secure servers, which are protected byfirewalls and other industry standard security measures.  These security measures are intended to
protect our servers from unauthorized access.  However, no security system is impenetrable, and
these systems could become accessible in the event of a security breach. In situations where you
provide us with a credit card number, your credit card information will be temporarily stored on
a secured server only for as long as necessary to process your payment. Please note that we
cannot enforce or control the security of the computers, electronic devices, or electronic
communication method that you may use to send emails and submit information to us over the
Internet.  You are responsible for ensuring that the computers, electronic devices and electronic
communication methods you use will provide adequate security for communicating with us.  We
are not responsible for the disclosure or interception of information that you send us before we
receive it.

This website may include links to other websites that are not owned or controlled by us. We are
not responsible for the information collection or privacy practices of other websites. You should
review and understand the privacy policies posted on any linked sites you visit before using
those sites or providing any personal information.

We do not knowingly collect or allow the collection of personal information from persons under
18.  If you are the parent or guardian of a person under 18 and believe that the person has
provided us with personal information, you may contact us at wrlc@whiterockdallas.org and
request that it be deleted from our files.

This website is maintained on servers located in the United States, which may not offer a level of
privacy protection as great as that offered in other jurisdictions.  We make no representation that
the practices described in this Policy are compliant with laws outside of the United States.

WRLC reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time. Please visit this website and review
this Policy periodically for changes. Unless we have your affirmative consent, any material
changes to this Policy will apply only to information collected after the effective date of the new
Policy.
