The White Rock Lake Conservancy is proud to share that White Rock Lake was selected as one of four national sites recognized by the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) in its “Landmarks Worth Saving” contest. The campaign was designed to highlight historic and cultural landmarks across the United States that deserve preservation and public support.

Although the contest was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the AAE chose to honor each participating landmark with a generous $5,000 preservation grant. This contribution helps further ongoing efforts to maintain and restore White Rock Lake for the Dallas community and future generations.

A NATIONAL HONOR FOR A LOCAL TREASURE

White Rock Lake has long been a cherished gathering place for Dallas residents, offering trails, wildlife, and a sense of peace in the heart of the city. Being recognized by a national organization underscores its significance not only as a local favorite but as a landmark with lasting cultural and environmental importance.

The White Rock Lake Conservancy works in partnership with the City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department to preserve the lake’s natural beauty and historic spaces, ensuring this urban oasis remains a safe and welcoming destination for all.

A NOTE OF GRATITUDE

The Conservancy extends heartfelt thanks to the American Association of Endodontists for their recognition and support. Their contribution reinforces the shared value of protecting natural and historic landmarks that connect communities across the country.
